The Kosovo Chamber of Trade and Industry has expressed deep concern about the numerous problems, as a result of the long blockade caused by the Law on Public Property.
Executive Director, Kushtrim Ahmeti, said that the long institutional crisis has further deepened the problems for a large number of companies.
He said that the blockade has reduced the economic power of businesses, endangered a large number of workers, increased prices, an enormous increase in imports from Serbia and North Macedonia, as well as other supply chain problems.
Ahmeti added that many companies have already given up on increasing investments in Kosovo, others are looking for investments abroad, and a negative message is being given to foreign investments.
At the meeting, board member Idriz Zejnullahu and two members of the working group, Faton Nuredini and Binak Kalludra, presented details to the attendees regarding the problems that the blockade has caused to the mining sector.
The attendees agreed on the urgent need to take measures to amend the Public Property Law.
